There is no denying the crisis that is going on in our world. However, we must not let fear win and rob us of our joy. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Rough waters or the storms of life can come on us with little to no warning.  We may not be able to control what life brings, but we can know this:   we can take comfort in the words of Jesus, knowing that He will not abandon his children but will be with us to the end – no matter what.

Daily cleansing only comes by ingesting the Word of God.  We must allow it to wash us and penetrate our hearts ridding us of everything that is not like Jesus.

You see, God doesn’t want anyone to perish.  He calls everyone to repent of their sins, turn from their wicked ways and follow Jesus. God will not force anyone to pursue Jesus.

I have seen sacrificial love in earthly fathers; but, even at their best, their love doesn’t compare with the love of our Heavenly Father. God loves us unconditionally. 

The other day we received a text message with a video of the three-year-old saying The Lord’s Prayer.  With his hands folded, enunciating and carefully praying every word, he didn’t miss one!

As of late, I have been convicted and find myself guilty of being preoccupied with all of the things that I think have to be done.  And in my busyness, I have missed opportunities to seize the moment of being present

We must remember that serving in church or in our communities, doing good deeds, and giving of our money, time and talents will not get us to heaven. 

One morning, I found myself listening to one particular song on repeat that simply said, “Say the name of Jesus…”

You can’t fake genuine love.  Sooner or later, the real fruit of the heart is going to be exposed.  We have all been on the receiving end or we have all seen someone who talked the talk of love but didn’t walk the walk.
